In-Person IT Support Procedures

Not feeling well? Please refrain from visiting us if you're sick, not feeling well, or are coughing. Reschedule your appointment by calling 831-582-4357 or messaging the tech.

Our default and preferred way to provide support is virtual, however, when in-person support is needed, we ask that our customers follow these procedures:

  • Prepare your workspace. If your IT professional will be setting up or configuring technology within your workspace, please arrange for open and safe access to the area. Remove personal items from desks or anything stored in front of outlets that might make their work harder.
  • Please be patient. Our IT professionals are working diligently and may need additional time to properly address their users’ IT needs. Our techs are working to get to you as quickly as they can, but sometimes unplanned situations occur and can delay them.
  • If you are suddenly unavailable for any reason, contact the technician you are working with or the help desk at 831-582-4357 to reschedule.
  • Do not visit the IT Services Building without an appointment. Our building is locked for security reasons. Instead, contact the IT Help Desk at (831) 582-4357 and ask for an available time to drop-off or pick up your equipment.
  • If working a mostly remote schedule, you may be asked to drop off your hardware at the IT Services building (43).  See Protocols for IT Pick-Up/Drop-Off.
