The CSU Secure Data Transfer service (also known by the product name of MOVEit) is our managed file transfer software solution for securing the exchange of data between the Chancellor’s Office (CO) and all CSU campuses. MOVEit encrypts files during transfer and at-rest to protect and secure the information being exchanged. It's easy to use and looks and works a lot like email.
How to use MOVEit
Getting started
- Automatically register for MOVEit by visiting https://transfer.data.calstate.edu.
- Authenticate with SSO (your work credentials)
- Select "Packages" or "Send Package."
- Fill in the recipient name, subject and notes sections and attach file (if needed). Note: you are only able to send to users that have previously logged into MOVEit.
- Click the red "Send" box.
- Files sent in MOVEit are automatically deleted after 14 days.
