Timing for Account Creation & Deletion

Account Creation

Applicant dashboard accounts are created 2 business days after students submit an application to CSUMB. If the Applicant attends CSUMB, they will use that same account as long as they stay enrolled.

Email accounts

  • Applicants receive a CSUMB email account 24-48 hours after being matriculated (attends orientation or registers for classes).  
  • Applicants can find this account linked to their dashboard after they have matriculated. (To get into your dashboard use your OtterID and the password that you created when you applied.  If you have forgotten your password you can call the help desk at 831-582-4357 for assistance).

Account Deletion

Undergraduate students

Undergraduate student accounts are deleted 180-days after a student graduates. Undergraduate, 2nd BA and credential students are discontinued after two consecutive terms (fall/spring or spring/fall) without enrollment or an approved leave of absence. Graduate students

Graduate student accounts are deleted 180-days after a student graduates. Graduate students are discontinued after one term (spring or fall) without enrollment or an approved leave of absence. (See: Graduation Requirements and Catalog Rights Policy)
