Setup for Android 4.4.2 to 5.0.1 Smartphone for the CSUMB Wi-Fi Network

Steps for configuring Android 4.4.2 to 5.0.1 smartphone to use the CSUMB Wi-Fi network.

Note: This guide was based on Android 4.4.2, but most of the Wifi settings are applicable to Android 5.0.1

 

1. Settings/Wifi/Turn on.

 

2. Connect to “CSUMB” Wi-Fi and setup the following:

             EAP Method: PEAP
             Phase2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
             Identity: OtterID
             Anonymous identity: leave this as empty
             Enter password: use your otterID password

3. Connect.

4. Optional Settings:

                         Wi-Fi/Press Menu Key (next to Home key)/Advanced/ “Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep”
