Create a Ticket from within TDNext

This article describes how Users with Technician access can create tickets from within the IT Desktop without having to go to the Service Catalog.

Process:

  • In addition to working on assigned tickets, Technicians often submit tickets to other Technicians.
  • Technicians can access the list of Services while in the Technician portal (TDNext) without having to use the Service Catalog.

Procedure:

  1. Log into TDNext (User).
  2. Select the IT Tickets tab from the menu at the top of the page.
  3. In the sub-menu, select +Service Request Form to access all available Forms.
  4. Select + New to access popular Forms that have been pinned for easy access by the system administrator.
  5. Mark Service pages as My Favorites in the Service Catalog to make them available in the My Favorites look up page.

Service Request Form page:

  1. Form field: Use the dropdown arrow to open the window to display all Services.
  2. Look-up button: Click to search for and select the desired Form.
  3. The window will update with the correct Form for the Service selected.
  4. Do NOT use the default "Service Request Form."
  5. Complete the correct Form with the required information.
  6. Save to submit the request.
