This article describes how Users with Technician access can create tickets from within the IT Desktop without having to go to the Service Catalog.
Process:
- In addition to working on assigned tickets, Technicians often submit tickets to other Technicians.
- Technicians can access the list of Services while in the Technician portal (TDNext) without having to use the Service Catalog.
Procedure:
- Log into TDNext (User).
- Select the IT Tickets tab from the menu at the top of the page.
- In the sub-menu, select +Service Request Form to access all available Forms.
- Select + New to access popular Forms that have been pinned for easy access by the system administrator.
- Mark Service pages as My Favorites in the Service Catalog to make them available in the My Favorites look up page.
Service Request Form page:
- Form field: Use the dropdown arrow to open the window to display all Services.
- Look-up button: Click to search for and select the desired Form.
- The window will update with the correct Form for the Service selected.
- Do NOT use the default "Service Request Form."
- Complete the correct Form with the required information.
- Save to submit the request.
