How to Set Up a Sony PS4 and Fix "NAT Type/DNS Failed" Eror

This guide is applicable to wireless and wired connections. This setup is a workaround for NAT-Type and DNS failed errors.

Configure your internet settings with automatic IP address but use a custom DNS server

1. Settings/Network/Setup Internet/Use Lan cable/Custom.

2. IP address(automatic).  DHCP Hostname (Do not specify).  

3. DNS settings (Manual), Add primary - 8.8.8.8, secondary 8.8.4.4

4. Use default settings on MTU (Auto) and Proxy (Do not use). Then test the connection.
