Recommended Computer Configurations by Major

IT at CSUMB has two different sets of recommended computer configurations for incoming students. These are recommended considering the specific technology demands of each major. A laptop is highly recommended.

It is highly suggested that you select the computer configuration (table 1) suggested by your major (table 2).  If you have any additional questions regarding these requirements, please reach out to an advisor for your major directly.

Reminder: Saving all documents to the cloud instead of your computer can be a lifesaver, especially if you are having an issue with your CSUMB computer and the computer needs to be swapped out.
