Zoom phones allow staff to place and receive calls no matter where you are working. Below are the different hardware options available for your zoom phone:
Option 1: Zoom Soft Phone Only
- For employees who don't need a physical phone and prefer the flexibility of being mobile.
- Uses the Zoom desktop and mobile application that you've already been using for meetings. No additional equipment needed.
- Zoom mobile app allows you to place and receive calls from your university phone number from a mobile device.
- You are required to have the desktop or laptop open to answer phone calls. A screen saver will consider you busy and push calls to voice mail.
Option 2: Headsets
- For employees who prefer a hands-free headset that works with the Zoom desktop and mobile apps.
- Bluetooth headset, some with display options.
- Single, dual ear or in-ear options available (see list).
Models:
A. WH62 mono: Single ear headset, no display
B. WH62 dual: Two-ear headset, no display
C. WH63: In-ear headset, no display
D. WH66 mono: Single ear headset with display
E. WH66 dual: Two-ear headset with display
F. WH67: In-ear headset with display
Option 3: Desk phone
- For employees who are at their desk and use their desk phone frequently.
- Full range of desk phone features, including allowing for multiple extensions on one desk phone.
- Does not require you to have a desktop or laptop open to answer phone calls; the Zoom app is essentially internal to the desk phone, so the phone will always ring.
- Optional in-ear headset attachment available for additional purchase.
