A new version of Symantec Antivirus is being “pushed” to all Windows computers at CSUMB and you will be prompted to restart your computer after the install. You can ask it to remind you to restart your computer later but if you do nothing, your computer will automatically restart in approximately 8-hours.

On Saturday, July 21st between 8am and 6pm the Network Services department will be conducting necessary power maintenance to its main data center. This means that any non-service critical devices will be taken offline for the day and stakeholders notified. All campus critical and customer connections will be migrated to secondary power and remain online during this maintenance.

UPDATE: As of 12:00 noon the new system is up, modems are online and customers are able to re-register their modems.

On Tuesday, July 17th, at 9am Network Services will be upgrading the Cable Modem System for East Campus. All users will experience an outage to their internet service. Users will be prompted and required to re-register their modems to continue internet services. No other services will be affected during this maintenance.
