Preferred Name Change
You can change your name and how it appears on your account by going into your CMS Employee Resource or OASIS account and changing the preferred name. How you do this depends on your role.
Students:
Instructions on how to change your preferred name in Oasis.
If you have trouble changing your preferred name and you are student contact Records at 831-582-3560.
Staff/Faculty:
Instructions on how to change your preferred name in CMS.
If you have trouble changing your preferred name and you are a staff or faculty call Human Resources at 831-582-3389.
Email Address Change
If you want your email address changed you must first change your preferred name in OASIS or CMS Employee Resources. Then you also must have your name legal name changed in the system. To do this depends on your role:
Staff/Faculty:
- Staff/Faculty must legally change their name in CMS. For information on how to do this visit the Human Resources Name Change webpage.
- Once name is legally changed in CMS Employee Resources, customers must also set their preferred name in CMS Employee Resources to be their new name (see above).
- After the CMS Employee Resources work is done please submit an IT Ticket.
Students:
- Students must legally change their name in OASIS. For information on how to do this visit the CSC page on Name Changes.
- Once name is legally changed in OASIS, customers must also set their preferred name in Oasis to be their new name (see above).
- After the Oasis work is done please submit an IT Ticket.
