Protect Sensitive Data When Submitting Tickets

Business Use

Technicians shall ensure that the content of submitted or assigned tickets is professional and appropriate for business purposes. Comments in tickets should be limited to people in the Reviewing Group or anyone assigned a Task by the Responsible person.

Sensitive or Confidential Information

Sensitive and confidential information should not be stored or transmitted in the IT Ticketing System. A ticket should be submitted to request a Service but should omit the mention of any sensitive or confidential information. If sensitive or confidential information is required for the completion of the IT Request, it should be transmitted to the Assigned Technician in an appropriate manner.
