Overview
Closed captions are a text version of the spoken part of an online video. Closed captioning was developed to aid hearing-impaired people, but it is useful for a variety of situations and use of closed captions are on the rise.
To be accessible to all audiences we require videos with audio to be captioned.
Reasons to Submit This Ticket
Create accessible media through closed captions and/or transcript for public or course-related viewing.
- Request live captioning: Live captioning is provided by an outside vendor but we will consult with you to inform you of the process and estimated costs, and to help facilitate the process.
- Post-production captioning: Post-production captioning and transcription services are also performed by an outside vendor but we will consult with you to inform you of the process and estimated costs, and to help facilitate the process. Note: This service supports online video only.
