CSUMB Staff & Faculty Directory

How does it work?

Every university employee is available to find in a public directory of the university.

Who publishes this information?

The content comes from the employee’s direct supervisor upon hire or when there’s a move.

Human Resources (formerly University Personnel) stores most of that content in the Common Management System (CMS).

Information Technology is responsible for the data integration between CMS and the website.

Where does the data come from?

Why can’t I see someone’s email?

From a security standpoint, we’ve reduced the ability for hackers to harvest CSUMB emails in the directory by displaying a Contact button for starting a conversation. This button is displayed to all viewers that are not signed in to the Dashboard. If the viewer is signed in to the Dashboard, the Contact button is replaced by the individual's email address. This greatly reduces the amount of spam and phishing emails.

If you are looking to find out whether an individual is either a student, staff or faculty member, you can find that information in your CSUMB Gmail.
