How does it work?
Every university employee is available to find in a public directory of the university.
Who publishes this information?
The content comes from the employee’s direct supervisor upon hire or when there’s a move.
Human Resources (formerly University Personnel) stores most of that content in the Common Management System (CMS).
Information Technology is responsible for the data integration between CMS and the website.
Where does the data come from?
Why can’t I see someone’s email?
From a security standpoint, we’ve reduced the ability for hackers to harvest CSUMB emails by using a web form for starting a conversation. This greatly reduces the amount of spam and phishing emails.
If you are looking to find out whether an individual is either a student, staff or faculty member, you can find that information in your CSUMB Gmail.
