Security Awareness Training

Description:

  • Mandated information security training is assigned to all CSU Monterey Bay employees.

  • Access to CMS is contingent upon completion of this course.

  • Required annual refresh for everyone is during Cyber-Security Awareness month (October).

  • Questions about assignments and training materials for the Data Security and Privacy course are in CSU Learn.

Common Questions:

  • Where can I find the training? Log in to CSU Learn> click the single person icon on the top left (self) > Learning > Registrations > select your Data Security and Privacy course from the assignments list

  • Do I need to take the training?  All staff, faculty and student employees (State and Corporation) are required to take the training. If the employee did not receive an email with instruction to complete the course, contact Department Supervisor or Human Resources. (This indicates a problem with the employee hiring process).

  • What if I can't sign into CSU Learn?  Sign in with your campus credentials (Campus ID/Otter ID). If that doesn't work, submit an Account Access Problem ticket.

  • What if I can't complete the training or print the certificate?

    • Complete all exercises.

    • Confirm Agreement with the CSU Policy and close the page. This will take you to the last page.

    • On the last page see "Complete the Course by Printing your Certificate"
