Password Reset Tips

  1. Employees using CSUMB-issued computers working a remote schedule: If you are working remote follow the directions for changing your password, but to update the password on your CSUMB-issued windows computer, log in with your old password then connect to GlobalProtect VPN and leave it connected for at least 15 minutes. For more information about how to do this please read the knowledge base article Remotely Resetting Your CSUMB Password Including the Windows Password.
  2. All users: If you change your password off-campus then come on-campus, you need to make sure you forget the CSUMB Wi-Fi connection on any/all devices as soon as you are on-campus or your account will lock out. If you forget to do this and your account locks out, forget the CSUMB Wi-Fi network, wait 15 minutes and then set up your CSUMB Wi-Fi with your new password.
  3. All users: If you change your password and have your CSUMB email or calendar on your smartphone, you may need to update them to the new password.
