Request a Security Key

Overview

A security key is one of the methods available to use as your multifactor authentication for your CSUMB account and is intended for customers who do not have a smartphone to use to authenticate.

This service is to request a USB security key for your multifactor authentication method.

Before you submit your ticket, you must determine if you need a USB-A or USB-C key. If you’re not sure, read USB-A vs. USB C: What’s the Difference?, or call the Technology Help Desk at 831-582-4357.

When your key is ready, you will get an email letting you know it’s available for pickup at the Technology Help Desk in the library. You can do this without an appointment any time the desk is open

If you are having issues with your current multifactor authentication method or need your multifactor authentication method reset, please submit an Account Access Problem ticket under the Report a Problem category.
